How does it work?

The operation of the closure of the auction has been changed. In order to provide you with sufficient reaction time to bid in an auction and avoid problems of updating the page in the last seconds, the system now automatically extends, for 5 minutes, the end date of the auction as long as the auction has registered a bid in the 5 minutes preceding closing.

We put an example: if the auction recorded a bid at 11:58 and closing was scheduled at 12:00, its closure is extended until 12:05. If another user bids at 12:01, the closure is extended until 12:10. And so on, with no limit on the number of extensions. When the system does not register any bids in the last period of five minutes before closing, the scheduled closing time will be effective and there will be no more extensions.
